DESTROYING THE WORKS OF THE DEVIL
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
1st John 3:8 (kjv)
The blood sacrifice of Christ has secured for us innumerable liberties which enable and empower us as his earthly representatives to destroy the works of the devil as Christ is revealed in us. In other words now we have the power and authority through Christ to literally undo, disarm, and undermine the various works of the devil in every strata of life. There also is an underlying connotation in the text above that states, "the devil was a sinner from the beginning". He is the chief of sinners as it were. This very job description was set from the beginning of time.
Nonetheless, my mission from the Lord remains clear and unmistakably true, which is to completely destroy the works of the kingdom of satan's darkness.
Now, that means we have a lot of work to do in our perspective realms of influence before the Lord comes back. So move deliberately and with purpose as the Lord reveals his divine plan to you by his Spirit.
